The Modern Teacher Application Process

To apply for September 2024 please follow these steps:

1. Complete the application form above

2. Pay £50 application fee to:

3. Approach two referees. Ask them to send references to: info@waldorfmodern.uk

(We do not provide a generic reference form but leave referees to choose their own approach).

4. Attend a  Zoom interview.

5. On being offered a place, accept by paying £300 non-returnable deposit.

6. Choose how you wish to pay the balance from these options:

  • Annually:

    • £2,590 when paid in full by 31st July 2024  (Early Bird Fee)
    • £2,690 when paid in full by 31st August 2024 and also when paid in 3 instalments during the year (payments on 1st September 2024, 1st January 2025 and 1st May 2025)
    • £2,790 when paid later than 31st August 2024
    • These figures include an initial deposit of £300, payable at the time of being accepted onto the course.  
    • Payment can be made in three termly installments of £950. These fall due on 1st September 2024, 1st January 2025 and 1st May 2025. The first installment will be £1250 if the deposit has not previously been paid. 
    • This covers the tuition costs of ten weekends and two weeks. They also include all guided learning between weekends, study packs and handouts.
    • In addition, you will need to pay for any accommodation and meals you require. You will also need a small budget for materials and books, though we try to keep additional costs as low as possible.

    Interest free loans, with flexible repayment options, are available for the second year of tuition, and exceptionally the first year, from the Godparents Anthroposophical Training Fund (GATF)

    If you attended the 2024 Spring Week there will be a deduction of £170 (Early Bird) or £200 from the year’s fee.
    Six Sessions Option: 

    Attend the whole year from Saturday 10.30 to Sunday 13.00 or from Friday 18.30 to Saturday 21.00 only, and save £ 600.

    • £1,750 when paid in full by 31st July 2024.  (Very Early Bird Fee)
    • £1,850 when paid in full by 31st August 2024. (Early Bird Fee)
    • £1,950* when paid later than 31st August 2024.
    • These figures include an initial deposit of £300, payable at the time of being accepted onto the course.  
    • *Payment can be made in three termly installments of £665. These fall due on 1st September 2024, 1st January 2025 and 1st May 2025. The first installment will be £965 if the deposit has not previously been paid.
